SIMPLE PRESENT TENSE

SIMPLE PRESENT TENSE

Simple Present Tense is a form of a sentence that states an act or event happened in the now or occurence who is a habitual daily.
·         The use of the Present Tense :
a.      To express habitual action
            Example :
                   (+) Stella reads comic every week.
                   (+) They are at bookshop every month.
b.      To declare the act wich expresses a general truth
            Example :
            (+)  The sunrises in the east.
            (+)  The world is around.

·         The verb use in the usual time Present Tense is :
1.      Always
2.      Generally
3.      Normally
4.      Usually
5.      Never
6.      Sometimes
7.      Every..... (day,month,week,year,etc)
8.      Once a while
9.      Often
10.  Regularly
Etc.....

 ANOMINAL Present Tense
Formula          :           S         +      To Be (Am, are, is)   + .........
Pattern A        :           S          +       To Be                       + .........

                                                It                   is

 Example          :
(+)        I am here every Sunday.
(+)        Bobi and Angel are cousins.
(+)        Susi is at library every Sunday.
If want to make negative sentence then added –not after To Be (is, am, are).
(-)        I am not here every Sunday.
(-)        Bobi and Angel are not cousins.
(-)        Susi is not at library every Sunday.
If want to make interrogative sentence then added an auxiliary before Subject is :
-To Be (is, am, are).
(?)        Am I here every Sunday ?
(?)        Are Bobi and Angel cousins ?
(?)        Is Susi at library every Sunday ?

              B.  VERBAL Present Tense

Example          :
(+)        We Study English at School.
(+)        Tika watches TV in the afternoon.
(+)        He goes to the office at 6 o,clock.
If want to make negative sentence then added –not Do/Does.
(-)        We do not study Eglish at School.
(-)        Tika does not watch TV in the afternoon.
(-)        He does not go to the office at 6 o,clock.
 If want to make interrogative sentence then added an auxiliary before Subject is :
-          Do to I / you / They / We.
-          Does to He / She / It.
(?)        Do we study English at school ?
(?)        Does Tika watch TV in the afternoon ?
(?)        Does he go to the office at 6 ,clock ?
If want to make interrogative sentence that requires a long answer, can put WH-Question before the sentence.
Example          :
1.      Why does she enjoy Mathematic class ?
Because the teacher is handsome.
2.      What do you need ?
 I need one spoon of sugar.
3.      Where do you buy English book ?
I buy English book at Gramedia book store.

·         A sentence in the verbal form an auxiliary (can / may/ must), then it doesn’t happen the addition to the basic word thought the third single of subject.
Example          :
1.      I can speak Japanese.
2.      You may not be noisy in this classroom.
3.      He must obey a traffic regulation.
